Successful demonstration Skybox onshore installation
This summer, we were able to successfully replicate the one-lift philosophy, during the demonstration of the onshore installation at the Sif’s Maasvlakte site.
We placed the external Skybox platform together with the temporary cover over the internal platform. Then together with one single lift, using the installation tool designed by Dutch Heavy Lift consultants, all parts were lifted onto our monopile demonstrator.
It went exactly as predicted: Skybox landed at the perfect spot.
Fun fact: the one-lift philosophy was extremely efficient onshore as the lift was conducted in under 10 minutes.
We look forward to going offshore in 2026, which will be the next big milestone on our journey.
