Michel Kurstjens joined Sif Group as CCO in April 2013. Since June 2020 Michel is Product Strategy Director.

Michel is a mechanical engineer who started his career in 1991 as a design engineer and took on sales in an industrial/technical environment shortly after. Over the years, he gained a lot of technical and international sales experience, sales management and general management experience in various technical niche companies, of which 15 years within Aalberts Industries Industrial Products Division. Aligning market opportunities and internal operations has led to revenue and profit growth of the companies he has worked for throughout his career. Markets in which he has operated include oil & gas, defence & aerospace, automotive and semiconductors.

Michel is the initiator of “Skybox”, the TP-less solution developed by Sif in cooperation with KCI the Engineers. In his new position, Michel will focus on the mid and long-term developments in the offshore wind market.

Stefan Erents joined Sif Group as Programme Manager Product Developer in 2024.

Before that, he already gained 17 years of experience in the offshore wind industry. Stefan has a bachelor's degree in automotive engineering and he started his career in 1997 in this industry. Over the years he gained plenty of experience in the automotive industry in commercial and engineering roles. In 2008 he decied to switch to offshore wind, by joining KCI. He worked on several projects that are concerned with vessel deck layouts, topsides and foundation design. After being Engineering Manager for several offshore wind projects such as Gemini and Triton Knoll, he gained even more knowledge on tender and R&D knowledge, and on foundation design.

Sif and Stefan have always been in close touch and sealed the deal in 2024 when Stefan became the official contact point of Skybox, after working on the Skybox for 4 years already. Stefan to this date assists Michel Kurstjens from Sif Group (the initiator of “Skybox”) and is the official contact point of Skybox.
